Michael J. Colich

Michael Colich has practiced criminal law for nearly 30 years, spending his first seven years in practice as a Hennepin County Prosecutor.  In those seven years he tried more than 90 felony cases.  Of those cases, he lost only one.  In 1984 he formed Colich & Associates, now one of the most highly regarded criminal defense firms in the state of Minnesota.  Mr. Colich has tried more than 150 criminal cases throughout Minnesota and the United States, and is licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota and the United States Federal Courts.

His clients have included professional athletes, public and political figures, corporations and their officers, and police officers.  During his career as a defense attorney, Mr. Colich has represented clients charged with a wide variety of crimes, ranging from serious felonies to misdemeanor offenses including:  money laundering, civil rights violations, murder, criminal vehicular homicide, sexual misconduct, child abuse, drug offenses, theft and driving while intoxicated.
